Keep your
registration alive.

A registered trade mark lasts 10 years and can be renewed indefinitely. Missing a renewal deadline puts your registration — and your brand — at risk. We manage deadlines and file renewals on your behalf.

A registered trade mark must be renewed within the six-month period before its expiry date. Both IPOI and EUIPO allow a six-month grace period after the expiry date, but late renewal attracts a surcharge fee payable to the registry. Allowing a registration to lapse entirely is permanent — a new application would be required, with no guarantee of success against an intervening filing.

If you are unsure when your registration is due for renewal, contact us with your registration number and we will check the deadline and advise on timing. We can take over ongoing management of your registrations and provide advance renewal reminders.

Renewal is also an opportunity to review your specification of goods and services, assess whether your existing protection still reflects your business, and consider whether additional classes or territories should be added through new applications.
